Details have now emerged of how Babu Owino rejected the offer to get a direct ODM ticket for the August Elections.
Reliable sources at Orange house have hinted how Babu has continuously been approached by senior ODM officials and politicians allied to Opposition doyen, the Rt Hon Raila Odinga to face Jubilee’s candidate through a direct ticket.
Mr Owino— the founder of the famous Tibim slogan used in ODM rallies— said that he’d wish and is ready to face his fellow aspirants seeking party nominations for the ticket, and assured his supporters that he’ll rightfully get the ODM ticket.
Babu Owino has been enjoying massive support in the Nairobi based constituency — Embakasi East— where he’s seeking election for the parliamentary seat.
After vanquishing his ODM rivals in the party primaries, Babu will square it off with Jubilee’s candidate in the general elections, and has all odds favoring him to come out with the long end of the stick.
Yesterday, he joined governor Joho and SUNA East MP Junet Mohammed in a rally held in Migori to drum up support for the ODM party.
